Usually, it's not like this. Lanzarote and Fuerteventura.

When you think of Canary Islands, you probably do not think of rainbows. Nevertheless, if I had to use a single word to describe these two weeks in the islands of Lanzarote and Fuerteventura, I would use that one.

It has rained a lot. So much that the usually arid (or so I have been told) hills are now green and the usually empty barrancos are full of water. As you can imagine, lying on the beach hasn't been an option (most of the time). It has been fun, all the same.

I have been in the middle of a sandstorm, in the caldera of a volcano, in villages in the middle of nowhere. I have seen some amazing landscapes. I haven't taken as many street shots as I am used to, but it has been fun to try something new for a change.
